Yet, with planning and some creative approaches almost 1/3 of home buyers last year were first time home buyers! Find out what is working for these people. Consider what you may do to prepare for this step in building your future.I have a special heart for first time home buyers. Years before I became a Realtor, our landlady said my husband and I had to buy the townhome we were renting or plan to move right away! She said she would help us. Well, without representation in a changing market with sky high interest rates, we had a difficult transaction. Decades later, I became a Realtor to provide representation for home buyers, so they could make informed decisions in the complex process and have someone on their side.
