SUMMARY: Catalyst Conversations: Food Insecurity in Colorado and Beyond
DESCRIPTION: Join us for Boettcher's quarterly&nbsp;Catalyst Conversations&nbsp;series - a virtual opportunity to connect from afar and explore unique, thought-provoking content.In anticipation of&nbsp;Boettcher's Service Summit, this quarter we will hear from experts in the food insecurity space.&nbsp;Jo&euml;l McClurg,&nbsp;Executive Director at the Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger, and&nbsp;Ashley Newell,&nbsp;Director of Programs at Food Bank of the Rockies, will discuss provide an overview of food insecurity. Specifically, they will explore food insecurity in Colorado and discuss broader state and federal policy solutions.Session Details:Wednesday, October 1 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. MTJo&euml;l and Ashley will each provide a 30-minute presentation. Then, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and reflect in smaller groups.A Zoom link will be sent to all registrants.Presenter Bios:Jo&euml;l leads organizational operations and systems-centric collaborations for the Blueprint. He also oversees the teams for funding and philanthropy, along with data and evaluation, to ensure that work is impactful and transformative. Jo&euml;l holds an MS in Food Security from Colorado State University.Previously, he served as the Blueprint&rsquo;s policy and communication manager. In this role, Jo&euml;l advanced the Blueprint network&rsquo;s legislative agenda by coordinating with lobbyists and stakeholders to support policy priorities. Prior to joining the Blueprint, Jo&euml;l was the SNAP Compliance Officer at the Colorado Department of Human Services and the Policy Director for Hunger Free Colorado.Ashley serves as the Director of Programs for Food Bank of the Rockies.
