Join us for our 5th annual project with the Headwater Trails Association!
Back for 2024, we will be constructing a bridge to the High Lonesome Hut. Join us the night before to camp and share stories around the campfire! We are trying to get some spots to stay at the High Lonesome hut, which is about a mile hike/bike ride in. Family members and friends are encouraged to attend, even if it's just for the s'mores!
For camping we will have a group site for all our Boettcher Scholars and their friends and family. Each group will be responsible for their own tents, dinner, and breakfast. We will provide s'mores for the night before, and lunch for the day of the trail build. (campsite TBD, this event will be updated when we select one :) )
For the trail build event, volunteers of all ages are welcome. The bridge we will be building is close to the trailhead, so it is very accessible for volunteers of all ages. Tools and personal protective equipment will be provided by the Headwater Trails Association.
For those interested, optional camping on Saturday night will be available.
