Food insecurity in the U.S. has reached a 10-year high and continues to grow, with more than 47 million people and nearly 14 million children living in food-insecure households. The Boettcher Alumni Board invites you to help us in addressing this critical issue. With opportunities to learn from industry experts and participate in service activities for all ages, we are taking on our most ambitious service event yet with the 2025 Boettcher Service Summit.
We believe in the power of our community and our collective commitment to service. From attending our in-person Service Summit to having an impact in your local community in the weeks leading up, there are several ways that you can participate:
Live Participation: Attend our Service Summit and Food Insecurity Panel live in Westminster on Saturday, October 4.
Remote Participation: Organize a local service event and/or livestream the Food Insecurity Panel on Saturday, October 4.
Attend the Catalyst Conversation: Learn more about food insecurity through a virtual presentation featuring guest speakers and experts on Wednesday, October 1.
Organize a Local Food Drive: Organize a food drive in your local community between September 22 - October 3.
If you would like to attend and/or get involved, click here to register. We're excited to learn, share, and take action on food insecurity with you!
In addition, our volunteer hub will allow you to participate in our service initiative on a deeper level. View statistics on food insecurity in your local community, access resources to host your own food drive, and discover tools that make taking action simple. In this video, 2011 Scholar Jeremiah Light shares how to access this exciting resource. You can access the volunteer hub here.
