GlobeMed at CU Boulder will be hosting a Public Global, Health, and You (ghU) discussion about environmental injustice abroad through a keynote presentation from the founder of Himalayan HealthCare (a global health and environmental equity nonprofit in Nepal) and a panel discussion about the local environmental injustice occurring at the Suncor Refinery in Commerce City. The speaker list includes Anil Parajuli (Himalayan HealthCare), Lucy Molina (350 Colorado), Shaina Oliver (EcoMadres/Moms Clean Air Force), and other community organizers and environmentalists from Commerce City.

The event will take place via Zoom on the evening of March 30, from 7-8:30pm MST. Register for this event at this link (https://cuboulder.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJMpd-mppjorG9SwZMbXyZa_9GkLBJMEgSON). Join us to learn from community activists about the toxic air pollution produced by the Suncor Oil Refinery and its impacts on health in the communities of Commerce City. By bringing together local and international voices on such an important topic, we hope to further health equity for people everywhere!
