Every year we take the opportunity to support our communities on this nationwide annual day of service.
This year, Boettcher Scholars are partnering with Food Bank of the Rockies for Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 22. We will meet at 8:45 a.m. at the Food Bank of the Rockies Main Warehouse, 10700 E. 45th Ave, Denver, CO 80239 where we will receive a short orientation before getting started on our assignments until 12 p.m. Food Bank of the Rockies asks that all volunteers watch this short Welcome Video and Safety Video before arriving at the warehouse.
Volunteers working in Reclamation includes tasks such as inspecting, sorting and boxing items received through food drives and grocery rescue. This area requires an attention to detail. Volunteers working in CSFP will work on an assembly line filling boxes for our older adult program.
Following our volunteering, we will enjoy lunch together. Lunch details are coming soon! We're excited to deepen our connection and engagement through Make A Difference Day.
Volunteers must be at least 10 years old and accompanied by an adult. We currently have a limited number of spots available for this volunteer opportunity – we are working to increase the number of spaces for volunteers.
Please RVSP here no later than Friday, 10/14, by 6 p.m. Volunteers must also register here on Food Bank of the Rockies volunteer hub, set up an account, and accept the volunteer agreement and waiver by 6 p.m. on 10/14.
Food Bank of the Rockies Registration:
Food Bank of the Rockies requires every member of the group to register individually under the specific group and event. This registration process allows each volunteer to accept our waiver ahead of volunteering and will allow them to track all of their volunteer hours with Food Bank of the Rockies.
